District Magistrate Chairs Meeting on Petroleum Supply Management in Gonda

Gonda: A crucial meeting regarding the management and smooth distribution of petroleum products was held at the District Panchayat Auditorium under the chairmanship of Priyanka Niranjan. The meeting was attended by officials from concerned departments along with representatives of gas agencies and petrol pump operators.

During the meeting, the District Magistrate issued strict instructions to ensure transparency and proper distribution of petroleum products across the district. She clearly stated that any irregularity or black marketing in the distribution of LPG or other petroleum products would not be tolerated under any circumstances. Warning agencies against malpractice, she said that if any complaint of black marketing or improper gas distribution is received, an FIR will be registered immediately and strict legal action will follow.

The District Magistrate directed the District Supply Officer to provide complete details of all gas connections and booking records of gas agencies in the district to strengthen monitoring of the distribution system. She also emphasized that agencies must operate strictly according to prescribed rules and ensure timely delivery of gas cylinders to consumers.

Representatives of petrol pump operators informed the administration that there is adequate availability of petrol and diesel in the district and there is no shortage. In response, the District Magistrate appealed to the public not to pay attention to rumours and avoid unnecessary hoarding of petroleum products.

She further instructed officials to maintain continuous monitoring of the availability and distribution of petroleum products so that residents do not face any inconvenience. The administration, she said, remains fully committed to ensuring the availability of essential commodities in the district.

The meeting was attended by Additional District Magistrate Alok Kumar, Additional Superintendent of Police Manoj Kumar Rawat, City Magistrate Pankaj Verma, Sub-Divisional Magistrates from Sadar, Colonelganj and Tarabganj, police officers from Mankapur and Sadar circles, the District Supply Officer, and representatives of various petroleum agencies.
